Lock of the week here with Houston!Houston has been in everygame this year.So why should they disappear this week? They are not. This has high potential to be a outright win for Houston.

New England has it all going for them right?Wrong.

New England is 13-33-1 ats as non-div. fav
New England is 34-63-2 ats as a fav.
New England is a super 4-13 ats as road fav. of 3 points or more.
Play on a home dog if they won their last game outright vs a team who was home last week--99-54-6 ats
Play on a home dog off a win if the opponent is off a home win----102-68-6 ats
Play on a home off a straight up away game---62-41-1 ats.

The mothership loves dogs--just ask Arizona and Chicago.

Houston will control this game and get the win.Lots of momentum here off the win!

Sail along!

I agree with you Captain that Houston have been underrated all season. What puts me off here is New England's experience taking advantage of Houstons injuries. I would think Banks in particular will get some defensive looks he hasn't seen in a long time. However, best of luck and I hope you win

Love it! Captain you bring up some nice looking trends and solidified it all by calling the Texans the LOCK of the week.

I like to follow trends especially 100% trends. If you've visited my threads you all know which side I am on. Pats -6 BTW I rarely play favs.

Texans +5.5 is the play. This will probably be A SmokeyRushing play this week. Texans control clock with Davis and throw in a couple of big play action passes deep from Banks to A. Johnson. This is a definite let down situation for Pats.

Home dogs seem to be turning the corner, but this one is the least settling play for me this week.

While others mention the substandard trends in relation to thier ATS record as a home dog, many of those games go back to the Pete Carrol days. What we have now is different. While HOustons defense is at times admirable, and this game exemplifies the quintessential trap game for a superior team, other factors have me liking the road fav this week.

1. While the PAts keep getting healthier, the Texans keep getting more banged up. THe PAts are just now getting the likes of Ted Johnson, and Ted Washington (thier best run-stoppers), back at full strength, and Ty LAw is playing at his best despite an ankle injury. Meanwhile the Texans are missing a starting QB, and CB, and may be due for a letdown after a road win with Banks at the helm.

2. Can Tony Banks lead his team to victory over the hottest team in the NFL,(6 straight wins) with the most complex defensive schemes? Perhaps...but I doubt it.

3. With Indy and Tenn still winning Bellicheck should have his team focused on winning to keep thier bye chances in tact.

Houston is the play. New England in a sandwich game between Dallas and Indy. I would love to call the outright upset but can't do it.

GL to all,

for those who think houston is the play here - and i am not saying you are wrong, but just adding this point - houston is a perfect 0-7 ATS their next game after a SU win. that is enuf to keep me off houston in this one for real money. in contests and all - maybe - but not for real.

Here is food for thought.

Tom Brady has never, ever, lost to a team with a losing record at the time of the game. Look it up.

Singuru,
You are obviously an intellegent person but you dont have to end your posts with something that people say "what the fvck does that mean, am I in shit or what"
I should think the majority of posters are also thinking , what team did your atavar play for. My own guess is the Berlin Philharmonic

Wagerline: NE 66%

Hilton: Pats 47/Tex 73

Note: Tex has NEVER, EVER won SU/ATS following a victory.

Suggestion: Pats -5.5
